    I think the intelligentsia runs out of topics for theses and dissertations so they have started getting 'creative.'

    One cannot receive today a PhD if one states that Alexander the Great who had two sons was straight not gay, and he was Greek. Regarding the Spartans, it would be more interesting if one wrote that the Spartans were actually creatures from another planet feeding only on the blood of their opponents whom they called Sus. So when they ate sus with blood, they were actually eating the flesh of their enemies, the Sus. Far fetched? Just wait to see how creative the intelligentsia is. I would not be surprised if I read somewhere that a certain professor wrote a book that Leonidas was Alexander's wife and their children were the cyclopes.

    We all know the adage Ο διαβολος δεν ειχε τιποτε αλλο να κανη και 'τετοιωνε' τα παιδια του.
